General Volunteer Description
Volunteer positions will include distributing beer sample cups and festival guides, serving beer and help with various set-up and tear-down tasks. You must be 21 years of age and have a valid I.D. to volunteer. Your volunteer time will be spent making sure the event is safe fun and inviting for those guests participating in this year’s Hail to the Ale Beer Fest. Everyone is encouraged to interact with guests and have a great time!  All volunteers must attend the mandatory volunteer info meeting prior to each shift for a quick presentation where you will be required to sign the Volunteer Agreement. Please plan on checking in 30 minutes before your volunteer time slot. Thirty minute breaks will be given to each shift to get food and to go to bathroom & managed by your volunteer supervisor. Volunteers will receive a beer fest cup, t-shirt and a free meal for volunteering. We will be back in touch by Wednesday, October 16th with all the info concerning volunteering at this year's Hail to the Ale Beer Festival with information on time slots & duties.

Frequently Asked Questions:
1)   Do workers get a festival t-shirt? Of course!   Can we sample beer while working?
2)   Can we sample beer while working?   Volunteer pourers may sample, in moderation, the beers they are serving and not leave their area.
3)   Do we get any food?   All volunteers will receive a food ticket that can be used at one of the food vendors for one serving of food.
4)   Can we store bags/purses/jackets someplace secure?   You will be able to keep your personal items with you behind the table from which you are serving.  However, there is no secure area to store any personal items, so we ask that you bring only what you need.
